VAE's inaugural program of the '22-'23 season explores and celebrates the spaces in which we sing, and the vast spaces within us. Andrea Clearfield's Poet of the Body and Soul meets Walt Whitman's explosive passion with commensurate beauty, richness and immediacy; while Herbert Howells sets Joseph Beaumont's The House of the Mind with customary introspection and haunting harmony. The program will include the ethereal Da Pacem Domine by Arvo Pärt, and Benjamin Britten’s classic Rejoice in the Lamb.
