The Charlie Ballantine Quartet plays their own blend of americana infused jazz with influneces such as Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, Brian Blade, and many others. They will be performing music off of their new record 'Life Is Brief: The Music Of Bob Dylan' which is an instrumental tribute to one of Ballantine's songwriting heroes.

Charlie Ballantine is an internationally renowned, award winning, touring guitarist. He has been a featured headlining artist at notable events such as the Penrod Art Festival, The Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, The Indianapolis Jazz Festival, The Virginia Ave. Folk Festival, The Bloomington Jazz Festival, The Elkhart Jazz Festival, and The Fountain Square Music Festival. Charlie is also a frequent performer at renowned jazz clubs such as The Jazz Kitchen (Indianapolis), Andy's Jazz Club (Chicago), Cliff Bell's (Detroit), and The Chatterbox (Indianapolis). His music stems from the traditions of folk, jazz, and blues music with influences such as Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Wes Montgomery, and Jimi Hendrix.

In early 2015 Charlie released his debut album "Green" which earned him national recognition including being awarded 2015 "Jazz Musician of the Year" by NUVO Magazine. Less then a year later Charlie's award winning, sophmore album "Providence" was released in May of 2016 and has helped him gain international acclaim through reviews from a wide variety of prestigious publications (Jazz Times, Vintage Guitar Magazine, Absolute Sound, Midwest Record) as well as making it into the top 100 on the jazz radio chart and being played on hundreds of stations worldwide. His third album "Where Is My Mind?" was released in July 2017 and has been widely reviewed and played on multiple continents including Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. The highly anticipated fourth album "Life Is Brief: The Music Of Bob Dylan" to be released in April of 2018 has already created a lot of buzz in both jazz and folk music circles and will be touring around the world most of 2018.
